Surgical Notes has decades of combined experience in both the healthcare technology and
ASC industries. True visionaries, they continuously strive to innovate
their ASC software and service offerings while maintaining a stable foundation
from which to grow. They are dedicated to providing outstanding service
for their clients and a supportive environment for their team of talented
professionals.
Randy Bishop
Randy Bishop is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) for Surgical
Notes. Through his leadership, Mr. Bishop has enhanced the Surgical Notes
brand, significantly grown market share, and developed an impressive array
of cutting-edge ASC technology solutions and services.
Prior to joining Surgical Notes, Mr. Bishop headed a consulting practice
at a Dallas-based investment bank and led a financial turnaround for a
top Dallas-based retail chain resulting in a successful sales transaction
for the investors.
Mr. Bishop is a graduate of the McCombs School of Business at the University
of Texas at Austin. He resides with his wife and family in Dallas, Texas.
John Carradine
John Carradine is the chief financial officer (CFO) for Surgical Notes.
Mr. Carradine’s extensive operating and financial experience includes
managerial roles in data services, software development, and IT services
organizations for both privately held and publicly traded corporations.
Mr. Carradine has held positions as CFO, COO, CEO, and Treasurer in organizations
with both domestic and international operations.
Immediately prior to joining Surgical Notes, Mr. Carradine was the CFO
and COO of A-LIGN Compliance and Security, Inc., a technology-enabled
security and compliance company that helps organizations around the world
take a strategic approach to managing and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
Prior to A-LIGN, Mr. Carradine was the CFO and COO for HealthAxis, LLC,
an IT solutions and BPO company in the U.S. healthcare industry.
Mr. Carradine holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Cox School
of Business at Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Business
Administration from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.
He resides with his wife and family in Dallas, Texas.
NATHAN HESS
Nathan Hess is the chief technology officer (CTO) for Surgical Notes. Mr.
Hess has 17 years of experience in various information technology (IT)
leadership roles, working across different sized organizations such as
Perot Systems, Dell Services-Tenet Healthcare, Dell Services-Stellaris
Health Network, Dell Services-Triad Hospitals, Dell Services-MedStar Health,
AIG, and DaVita Rx. In these previous and primarily healthcare-focused
engagements, Mr. Hess led small, U.S. teams of highly experienced architects
to large, global IT teams located across the world and operating on multi-million-dollar budgets.
Mr. Hess earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech
University with a major in management information systems and is currently
pursuing his Master of Business Administration from the University of
Massachusetts’ Isenberg School of Management. He lives with his
wife and family in Prosper, Texas.
Ken Bulow
Ken Bulow is the executive vice president of operations for Surgical Notes.
He is responsible for delivering Surgical Notes’ transcription,
coding, and RCM services. Mr. Bulow has over 25 years of experience working
with healthcare providers with extensive experience providing billing
services to ASCs. He is often called upon as an expert in ASC billing
operations.
Prior to joining Surgical Notes, Mr. Bulow was the president of Zulu Health
which provided outsourced RCM services to ASCs. Zulu Health was merged
into Surgical Notes in 2021.
Mr. Bulow lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
Nate Kiely
Nate Kiely is the chief revenue office (CRO) for Surgical Notes. Mr. Kiely
is a results-driven sales leader with a comprehensive record of achieving
growth objectives within the healthcare industry.
Prior to joining Surgical Notes, Mr. Kiely served as the vice president
of sales for Intelligent Medical Objects, a healthcare data enablement
company. He also held the role of chief revenue officer at iMedX, a company
that offers a suite of high-value revenue cycle management solutions that
include data analytics and business intelligence, clinical documentation,
outsourced billing, and medical coding, as well as the vice president
of sales for Ingenious Med, who offers a point of care revenue cycle solution
for physicians.
Mr. Kiely received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information
Systems and Business Intelligence from Georgia Southern University. He
resides with his wife and son in Austin, Texas.
